Understanding what your triggers are is key

In the second instalment of a series of discussions with dietitian Dawn Shotton, the main topic focuses on understanding what your triggers are. After 20 years as a dietitian, Dawn is hugely knowledgeable on the subject and provides her insight below:

“It might seem a contradiction, but, the key to staying on track is to understand what, who and why you sometimes don’t!” she said.

“Most people go through spells when their diet and lifestyle habits may not be as healthy as they would like them to be.  The key is understanding what your triggers are and working out how you can get around these the next time they occur.

“This not only helps you get back on track quicker but helps you also manage the more challenging situations we can all find ourselves facing from time to time.”
